clarification

hi there everyone!  tgif (thank goodness it's friday)!  wow... what a week this has been and honestly one that i am glad is almost behind me!!

today unfortunately my blog post is one that stems from disappointment. earlier today i received an email from a patron that was inquiring about the where abouts of one of my stores. as some of you may know, up until recently, my kits where housed at the online scrapbook store 'for the luv of art'.

now for the disappointing news...

as some of you may or may not know yet... 'for the luv of art' has been sold and is now under new management.  this all came as a huge surprise to me (as well as to all of the designers at ftloa) as i had no inkling that the selling of the store was even being entertained.  this past sunday i went to upload a few new kits at ftloa and well... much to my surprise i was locked out, hopped over to the store... saw the announcement of the new management on the home page, and next discovered all of the digital designers stores had been deleted except for the prior owners.  i was in shock and felt as if someone slapped me in the face! so to make a long story reasonably short... none of the designers were notified of the change, nor of our stores being deleted and we are all trying to make sense of what has happened.  i have spoken with the new owner via email and she explained the changes to me. she was under the impression (actually had been told) that we had been notified of the changes by the prior owner and we all chose not to respond to her.  due to our lack of response she deleted all of our stores.  my head is swimming over here as i try to wrap my mind around all that has transpired along with trying to swallow the bad business acumen and all of the duplicity! while i thought that the new owner and i were on the same page (her understanding that the designers had not been notified of the changes and deletions) much to my disappointment, i found out today that we weren't.

which brings me back around to the email that i received today.

the sweet supporter was wanting to know where she could find my kit 'love is in the air' that she was not able to locate it in my store at pxlcafe (my kits at pxl are currently exclusive to pxl). along with her email she enclosed a copy paste of the response to her inquiry from the new owner at ftloa.

it reads...

Hello,
Due to the recent change in ownership of the store, both Amy Teets and Little Feet Designs have decided to discontinue their digital products at For The Luv of Art. I am saddened that the store will not continue to carry their digital designs since both ladies are very talented designers. At this time the only digital products that will be at For The Luv of Art will be by Norma Kennedy. I will be adding more of her work very soon.
I am sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause you. I would imagine if you contacted them directly they would be able to assist you in directing you to other sites to visit for their designs.
Thank You,
S.S.

i felt it was important to share this with you because i have always believed in good customer service, integrity and good business practice. while i know this may come across as a petty post (although i hope it does not) i am most bothered by all the lies and deception and am sickened over the thought that we are being portrayed as the quitters (that i would just pack up and walk off with no notification to my friends or patrons) when the fact of the matter is... we were never given a choice, i would have gladly had stayed on at fltoa.

i am currently looking for a new home for my digital kits and will keep you posted on where i land. thank you for all your encouragement, support and patients during this transition time!!
