my sweet dear friend miranda assenberg recently introduced me to kelly hedgespeth of simply kelly designs. what a wonderful designer kelly is with so many fun ideas! one being a monthly photo swap. i had so much fun with this, as i have never participated in a photo swap before! this month i was paired with kelly... she sent me three darling pictures of her beautiful daughter working on an art project for school. she incorporated her specifications for the page, which included, the journaling and date she wanted on the page... and here is what i came up with...

in return i sent kelly 6 photos with my specifications. i love centering projects around a theme... it helps me stay focused and have a purpose to my projects! so for this years photo swap with kelly... i decided to center the 12 layouts around my 'when i grow up' list, with a theme based on the book 'Oh, the places you'll go' by Dr. Seuss. so many people have started a 'bucket list' (inspired by the movie bucket list)... while the movie is not what encouraged me to make my list (which i am calling 'when i grow up i want to...' list) my sweet friend jenny meyerson was my muse for this! jenny is a cancer survivor with a zest for life that is contagious!! i could not be more thrilled my my wonderful page that i received from kelly!! it is simply fantastic!! i can't wait to have it printed and get started on my book!
kelly... thank you again for such a beautiful layout!! this is the perfect way to start my book!
