hi there all of my sweet friends! how are all of you? i can't believe how long it has been since i last blogged! life since april has been very full and busy, from school to family and now into summer... next, summer vacation! in trying to get my priorities in order along with the approaching school year being my son's senior year, i have decided to take a little sabbatical from designing. i have spent the last few months re-prioritizing and learning to say 'no' to the things that i really do not want to do and beginning to think of life as an empty nester. i have been religiously following the 'happiness project' by gretchin rubin, month by month, and it has really opened my eyes. (i can't say enough wonderful things about the book) i have really been concentrating on family and spending more quality time with friends rather than being in front of my computer screen, cultivating these new lifelong friendships has been so wonderful. this summer has been full of fabulous visitors, a house full of terrific kids, a craft day every friday with my dear friends and even some traditional scrapping! (i have so enjoyed playing with paper and scissors again) for our summer vacation we are taking our son on the traditional family 'senior' trip to congratulate him... we are traveling to vancouver and alaska on a 12 day sea and land excursion... and are most excited about it!! (i will have a lot of scrapping to do from this trip) this coming school year will be busy and full of senior events along with making our empty nester plans.
for now i will be concentrating on my son's senior year, family life, friends, re-visiting the possibilities of a career, along with scrapping our family memories and taking a few scrapbooking classes. i'll be blogging about everyday life, happy things, my personal scrapping, and also posting a digital freebie here and there. i look forward to this new journey with all of you.
i'd like to say a very very SPECIAL THANK YOU to my dear sweet friends on my creative team... i could not have done anything without their constant encouragement, love and true friendship. the most heartfelt thank you to my sweet friends.
